The SLOfit project - Lifelong monitoring of physical fitness, developed at the Faculty of Sport University Ljubljana, was selected by an expert jury in Brussels as the winner of the E+ SPORT #BeActive - Across Generations Award 2022, dedicated to recognizing the best European projects that promote a regular exercise and ensure easier access to sport and physical activity for all generations.

Therefore the prize is further evidence that the SLOfit project, based on the principle of citizen science, is a high-quality scientific, educational and promotional tool that enables in-depth analysis of one’s health condition and thus accurate predictions for the future and the planning of effective intervention measures, both for the individual, selected parts of the population or even society as a whole, but on the other hand also an extremely useful, transparent and user-friendly tool for mass use.

With this, the SLOfit group is steadily approaching the realization of their vision and goal - to get all generations motivated for regular exercise, healthy lifestyle and start a national (SLO)fit movement. Physical fitness is a crucial component when it comes to quality of life, and the importance of effective prevention is only increasing due to the negative influences of the modern lifestyle. The importance and usefulness of lifelong monitoring of physical performance were greatly demonstrated during and after the covid-19 epidemic.

The Erasmus+ Sport Team wants to promote the award-winning project of the SLOfit research group to the public using a video.
