EUTOPIA Week(Eweek) takes place every six months and is organised and hosted by one of EUTOPIA's partner universities. The weeks provide an intensive networking opportunity for the Alliance's key stakeholders (students, researchers, practitioners and strategic partners), including workshops, seminars, meetings, networking opportunities and the chance to get to know different European cities and cultures.

From 19 to 23 June 2023, NOVA University in Lisbon will host the next EUTOPIA Week, with the central theme For a Better Europe. EUTOPIA Week takes place in the year in which NOVA University celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Several events are planned during the week, which will include discussions on the six priorities of the European Commission:

  • The European Green Commitment aims to transform the European Union (EU) into a modern, resource-efficient economy while preserving Europe's natural environment,
  • a digital transition, combining investment in research and innovation with data protection and equipping individuals with the necessary skills,
  • building an economy that serves people, provides jobs and reduces inequalities,
  • strengthen the EU's voice on the world stage by advocating open trade,
  • defend fundamental rights and the rule of law as a bulwark of equality, tolerance and social justice,
  • give new impetus to European democracy by contributing to the strengthening of European democratic processes.
