The Summer School on "Digital Health Technologies: Law, Ethics & Regulatory Issues" is a collaboration between the Health and Ageing Law Lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health of the Technische Universität Dresden. It aims to bring together legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry experts to delve into the multifaceted challenges and opportunities presented by the rapid evolution of health technologies.

The first edition of the Summer School on digital health technologies will take place in Brussels, at the U-Residence on the VUB campus, from 3 to 7 June 2024. Participants who attend all lectures and pass the assessment will receive a certificate of participation and be rewarded with 4 ECTS credits.

The program consists of eight modules in total:

3. How might Large Language Models be used in Medical Devices

4. Health Data Governance (including EHDS)

5. Health Sensors, wearables and biomarkers

6. Design thinking and medical device development
