Their journey commenced at the Summer School in Ljubljana, which brought together over 40 students from 6 universities. The summer program provided a fantastic opportunity for networking and cultivating the Ecotopia community, which focuses on studying abroad for a full year, offering invaluable experiences.

"Residing in Ljubljana was an extraordinary experience," shared Max and Montse. Ljubljana is known as a student-centric city, where they were able to make new friends and appreciate the city's charm. "I would certainly opt to participate in Ecotopia again," remarked Max and Montse. Nevertheless, they emphasized that individuals considering such an exchange opportunity must possess flexibility and organization to ensure a more rewarding experience.

Participation in the associated communities will allow the ECOTOPIA Summer School to be further developed over the next three years, with new activities added. UL students will have the opportunity to explore topics such as the future of economics, to collaborate with their peers and with experts from other universities.Tjaša Redek, Head of the Connected Community, emphasised last year: "We at the Faculty of Economics are delighted that the Ecotopia Summer School has been accepted as one of the Connected Communities. The Faculty of Economics is working hard to consolidate its position as one of the leading educational institutions in the field of business and economics through a variety of projects. This project represents an opportunity for further development and cooperation with other excellent educational institutions, both within EUTOPIA and more widely, in an area that is crucial for the future of Europe and the world, and where only cooperation and addressing young people can lead to urgently needed solutions."
