SLOfit research team receives a 2024 European Innovative Teaching Award
Date of publication:
In September the SLOfit research team at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Sport received a 2024 European Innovative Teaching Award, together with the University of Tartu, the University of Vilnius and Vytautas Magnus University, for their Enjoyable MVPA Erasmus+ project.
The JoyMVPA project resulted in a collection of 100 Wickedly Good Games aimed at children aged between 11 and 14. The games were selected in collaboration with schoolteachers and researchers from various faculties. All of them are designed to provide moderate to vigorous physical activity, or MVPA. They are useful in the gym or in other spaces in which school sports lessons, active breaks or extra-curricular sports programmes take place. Providing children with ten minutes of moderate to vigorous physical exercise, the games have been designed to have positive health-related effects on those that play them.
We would like to offer the SLOfit team many congratulations on winning this prestigious award.
