The Research Map classifies essential resources for health research, such as researcher contacts, competences, topics, infrastructure and opportunities for collaboration. It is an important tool for scientists wishing to tap into the wealth of knowledge and capacity of the network.

The map is particularly relevant for universities in the enlargement countries (University of Babeș-Bolyai, Romania, University of Ljubljana and NOVA University of Lisbon). By fostering connectivity, the map supports these institutions in making the most of the shared resources and expertise across the European and global partners of EUTOPIA_HEALTH. The map is already included in the new EUTOPIA_HEALTH calls: the Seed Funding Call and Cross-University Mobility Programme for Young Researchers.

The Mobility Portal has been created to ease the administrative and other problems that accompany mobility planning. Using innovative technology, the portal successfully solves complex administrative challenges including tax, visa and insurance issues, making it easier for university staff to plan exchanges. The Mobility Portal allows individuals and universities to connect with global colleagues, increasing community engagement and cohesion. The whole project is therefore an important step towards a more sustainable, accessible and impactful academic environment.

An interdisciplinary team of University of Ljubljana students played a key role in the creation of the Mobility Portal, combining administrative, legal and programming skills in the portal.

The two tools represent an instrumental move towards a more integrated research environment, resilient to modern challenges and strengthening European research capacity.
