Every student and staff member has the right to dignity and safety. To uphold these values, the University has adopted the Rules on measures against violence, harassment and bullying, which outline protective measures for victims and the procedures to follow in cases of violations to personal dignity.

In instances of violence or harassment, trained trusted persons are available across all UL member institutions to provide support and guidance. They offer a safe space for victims to discuss their experiences, inform them of their rights, explain reporting options, and provide details on available psychosocial support. All information shared with a trusted person remains strictly confidential and can only be disclosed with the victim’s consent.

We realise that achieving zero tolerance for violence requires collective responsibility – not only from victims but also from witnesses. It is essential to recognise, speak out against, and take action against violence. If you are a victim or know someone who is, do not hesitate to reach out to a trusted person. Together, we can create a safer environment for all.
