The University of Ljubljana on the initiative to stop funding Israeli academic institutions

The University of Ljubljana (UL) closely monitors developments in the international arena and supports all efforts aimed at ending the suffering of civilians and promoting peace, human dignity and fundamental human rights. As the largest and most diverse higher education and research institution in Slovenia, the UL recognises the important role and responsibility of the academic community in society.
Accordingly, we will address the initiative calling on the European Commission to cease funding Israeli academic institutions in a comprehensive, thoughtful and responsible manner. A thorough discussion on this significant issue is scheduled to take place at the UL College of Deans in August. Based on this, the UL will formulate its official position.
