How can you take part?

Participation is simple: students download the CYCLE2CONNECT mobile application and start recording their daily cycling routes.

The app enables users to track the kilometres they have cycled and participate in a team challenge connecting students from different universities. The more kilometres participants cycle, the greater their chances of ranking among the top participants.

Kilometres will be collected during the official period from 1 May 2026 to 31 March 2027. Rides that form part of everyday mobility (e.g. commuting to university or recreational cycling) will be taken into account, provided that the kilometres are recorded in the app.

The most successful students will represent their university at the European Student Cycling Challenge, which will take place in Ljubljana on 10 June 2027.

Each university will be represented by a team consisting of:

  • 3 male students and 3 female students
  • 1 team leader

Teams will compete in a team cycling event through Ljubljana city centre and participate as representatives of their universities.
