Students can now prove their student status digitally

From 25 September, University of Ljubljana (UL) students can access digital proof of their student status via the UL ID portal. This process enables student status to be viewed and checked quickly using a dynamic QR code. It also features a barcode for identification and use of services at UL libraries.
Students can access the digital proof system by logging into the UL ID portal using their digital UL identity or their username and password. Student status can be checked via a dynamic QR code, which is valid for 60 minutes (this time limit ensures security and reliability of the status-checking process).
The digital proof of student status also contains a barcode with enrolment number that enables the student to be identified and cleared to use UL library services. The data used by the digital proof system is obtained from the UL data warehouse to ensure that it is up to date.
These new features are part of UL’s continued drive to develop digital services and provide students with easier and more secure access to university services.
