About the programme

The basic goal of the master study programme Accounting and auditing is to provide basic knowledge and skills in accounting and auditing.

The programme develops a graduate profile with the following general competences: analyzing, synthesizing, and envisaging solutions and consequences in accounting and auditing; using analytical R&D methods, tools, and procedures in accounting and auditing; critical thinking and evaluation; understanding modern globalization processes and the challenges these processes pose to current accountants and auditors;using modern accounting and auditing concepts in order to perceive and resolve issues at the level of the company and society at large; applying theoretical knowledge to real-life cases; autonomy and self-initiative at work and the ability to engage in lifelong learning and adapt to new conditions;Working in an international environment, in accounting-related solutions in takeovers and mergers, analyzing foreign companies’ annual reports, and following international accounting standards; effective use of ICT tools.
