About the programme

The professional bachelor study programme Administration provides experts in the broadest area of public and business administration, i.e. in the entire public sector, ranging from state administration, broader public administration and public companies to private companies, particularly those cooperating with the public sector.

The programme is highly practical in nature and provides all the required organisational, legal, economic and ICT knowledge and qualification to work successfully in administrative practice in the typical posts, ranging from business secretary, professional public servants in various fields, which require interdisciplinary knowledge, to managers of organisational units at lower and middle levels in the hierarchy. As for more ambitious students, it provides sufficient theoretical knowledge to continue their study at the master's level.

The goal of the study programme is to educate and qualify the graduates for: (1) critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and independent research work, (2) understanding the political, social, and cultural framework in which operate the public administration organizations in Slovenia and abroad, (3) performing work and executing tasks in the field of planning, organising, leading and controlling in public administration organisations.

The candidates have to provide evidence of Slovenian language skills proficiency at level B2 of Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR).

The study programme is also delivered as a long-distance programme (e-study).
