About the programme

The programme's main objective is to educate professional architects to perform responsible tasks in architectural design, planning and spatial planning. The architect's responsibility stems from the importance of architectural design, the quality of buildings, their harmony with the environment, and respect for the natural and urban landscape, which is in the public interest. The profession of architect is multilayered, as architects must be able to think about people and their spatial problems on a variety of scales: from regional planning to architectural details and vice versa. Their work must be based on contemporary theoretical and technological knowledge, which they further develop while striving for a balance between the functional-technical and artistic components of architectural design.

The educational profile of an architect combines technical, social science, and humanistic knowledge with the ability to organize and design space or buildings. The results of architectural design can also be socially recognized as works of art.
