About the programme
The goal of the professional bachelor study programme Occupational therapy is to empower the graduates to autonomously perform the duties of the profession, make decisions and solve professional problems.
Graduates can apply critical thinking skills and judgement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of the occupational therapy process and evidence-based theory from various fields to practical experience. The graduates of this programme possess a broad range of profession-specific and generic enabling skills for work with patients and also for continuation of studies at post-graduate level.
The programme consists of medical, natural, social and humanistic sciences subjects providing the students with the fundamental knowledge of the structure and function of human organism. The largest proportion of the programme is devoted to occupational therapy proper, where all the aforementioned knowledge is integrated. The first-cycle degree professional higher education study programme occupational therapy comprises lectures, seminars, seminar practice, and laboratory and clinical training.
The candidates have to provide evidence of Slovenian language skills proficiency at level B2 of Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR).
