The project will design, test and scale-up an innovative solution, supported by a quality assurance framework, foster the informed uptake of Virtual Reality for the development of cognitive empathy in schools, thus enhancing the quality and inclusive digital education at EU-level. Building on the state-of-the-art research at the nexus of VR, psychology and education, the project proposes a forward-looking approach at the EU level that will provide skills and resources to use VR as educational support for teaching topics across several curricula subjects (history, geography, sciences, citizenship), covering themes related with European historical facts, European social common values, and European citizenship and diversity, developing cognitive empathy, and improving the effectiveness of the learning experience.
