Daša Pahor
Owns the antiquarian bookshop Antiquariat Daša Pahor. She has a doctorate in art history from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana. She lives and works in Munich, Germany.
Daša Pahor is a recognised expert in art, architecture and the culture of printing. Her spheres of interest include the Balkans and Southeast Europe, with special emphasis on the period between the 16th and 20th centuries. She is well-known in the antiquarian market community for her sixth sense in seeking out truly rare and precious items. Daša is a member of the ILAB (International League of Antiquarian Booksellers). In addition to her native Slovenian, she speaks German, English, Croatian, French and Italian and has a passive knowledge of Latin, Czech Polish, Spanish and Turkish.
Her company Antiquariat Daša Pahor, which she runs with her husband Alexander Johnson, has been in operation since 2006 and exhibits at leading fairs in Europe and America. She and her husband have specialised in the sale of rare books and maps from all over the world, stretching from the 15th to the 20th century. They sell only originals, to which they add a description, analysis of origin and history.
