Jernej Buzeti

Dr. Jernej Buzeti is employed at the Ljubljana Faculty of Administration, working at the Department of Organisation and Information Science. His research and teaching work is connected with various aspects of management and human resource management at work, and with psycho-organisational dynamics.
He has developed the JB model, which measures the link between management behaviour and temporary employee absence from work in the civil service, and a model for measuring management staff’s self-image. The high quality of his work was acknowledged when he was given a University of Ljubljana special commendation, which is awarded to young higher education teachers and associates from the University of Ljubljana. Dr Buzeti is also head of the faculty’s Education Advisory Centre and the person responsible for knowledge transfer. He has been closely connected with the faculty since graduating. He received a Prešeren Award for his undergraduate thesis, which was followed by an award from the Pomurje Science Union for his Master’s thesis (the Pomurje Research Award for the best Master’s thesis from the region). He holds a variety of seminars and workshops for closed groups, takes part in scientific and professional conferences, and is involved in a range of educational activities in Slovenia and abroad. He has launched and leads a large number of projects within the university, including the Public Sector Academy.
The commitment and self-confidence displayed by Dr Buzeti at the faculty are also evident in the activities he performs outside the university environment. He is an external associate of the Slovenian Handball Federation and head of the Slovenia Centre project, which is present at major sporting events such as European and world handball championships. He also works as a therapist at the Family Study and Research Centre (Ljubljana, Domžale).
