The seminar is intended for classical philologists with at least a basic knowledge of Ancient Greek who wish to learn Modern Greek. In addition to language instruction, the program includes lectures on the history of the Greek language in more recent historical periods, as well as cultural and social events. The majority of the program is devoted to intensive Modern Greek language instruction using a method designed for classical philologists.

Target group

Undergraduate and graduate students. To participate, students at the University of Ljubljana must have passed the exam for the Intensive Greek Course or the Greek II exam (or demonstrate equivalent proficiency). Knowledge of Modern Greek is not required.
