Positon: University teacher: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Full Professor in Crop Production and Pasture Management

REQUIREMENTS:

• doctoral degree (previous)
• doctoral degree (Bologna level 3)
• teaching habilitation according to the rules of University of Ljubljana (Assistant Professor /Associate Professor / Full Professor) in Crop Production and Pasture Management or prove of fulfilment of requirements with a statement that such a habilitation is envisaged. The candidate fulfills the condition if he / she has a valid UL title or the valid title of the Guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the abovementioned titles, but he / she meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he / she can apply for the job vacancy, in which  case, together with the application, he / she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title.

• proficiency of Slovenian and English language;
• knowledge of the situation of Slovenian agriculture with a focus on arable farming and the use of agricultural land and the challenges it faces, knowledge of the Slovenian strategic plan of the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, especially in the area of field crops, in-depth knowledge and understanding of production technologies for various types of crops most commonly grown in the Republic of Slovenia and knowledge about the properties and technology of growing alternative crops

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• designing and updating curricula and adapting university and higher education study programmes to specific requirements,
• organising or co-organising all course-related activities in accordance with the curriculum and the findings of the profession, coordinating the work and supervising the work of other course staff (teaching assistants, technicians, etc.),
• lecturing, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities related to the course at undergraduate study programmes, 
• directing research work and student activities, mentoring students supervising theses,
