EUTOPIA invites PhD students to register for the full-day science communication Training EUTOPIA Impact School. One place is available for a PhD student from the University of Ljubljana. The deadline for applications is 25 August. Training will take place on Monday 3, 17 and 24 November. Participants are required to attend all three dates.

During a three-day online workshop, the participants work specifically on their own scientific texts. In addition, they learn and try out various storytelling and presentation techniques. As a final project, the participants create own video pitches about their individual research topics that will be published on the websites and social media channels of Eutopia and the Graduate Academy.

- CV in English,
- a short motivation letter in English (up to 250 words),
- a completed personal data protection declaration (among the documents),
- a completed mentor support declaration (among the documents).
The workshop will be led by Dr. Julia Offe and Armin Himmelrath. Dr. Julia Offe is an expert in the field of science communication and science slam. She has played a major role in developing the format and establishing it in Germany. As a science journalist, Armin Himmelrath has many years of journalistic experience in print and radio (e.g. Spiegel, Deutschlandfunk) and is a lecturer in journalistic writing at various educational institutions.
