Job vacancy: Assistant with a doctorate, Job Code: H019001 (M/F) – (1 position); scientific research work on the project: »Horizon Europe: Sustainable Welfare: Rethinking the roles of Family, Market and State«.
Status: full-time (100 % employment – 40 hours a week)
Type of contract: fixed time until 31. 1. 2027
Conditions for carrying out the work:
Required education (level and direction) according to the title:
- PhD (previous) in field of business and economics
- PhD (3rd Bologna degrees) in field of business and economics
Valid habilitation :
- Teaching Assistant or Junior Researcher; (if the candidate does not yet have a valid title, he/she must fulfill this condition within four months from the date of commencement of work)
- The candidate fulfills the condition if he / she has a valid UL title or a valid UL Junior Researcher title. If the candidate does not have an election to the above titles at the time of application, but meets the quantitative and qualitative conditions for election to these titles, he may apply for the announced position and in this case submit evidence of meeting the above criteria and attach a statement of consent that in case of a decision of the selection committee, the application is also considered as an application for election to a title or for recognition of a title
Functional knowledge and other requirements (professional exam, skills and language):
- Previous PhD or 3rd Bologna degree
Responsibility for own work, supervision of other workers and means of work:
- for the course and results of the research and for the professional and timely execution of other works
- for equipment or work equipment
Work experience:
- 1 year of relevant work experience
Trial work:
- 3 month
Brief description of work and tasks:
- scientific research work
- professional cooperation with clients of research assignments
- preparation of research reports and studies
- participation in undergraduate and postgraduate studies
- preparation of proposals for the procurement of research equipment, maintenance of equipment and procurement of consumables,
- performing other tasks that fall within the broader professional field of the workplace
Preference will be given to applicants:
- good knowledge of the Stata and R software packages;
- good knowledge of statistical and econometric methods;
- affinity for accurate data search across different data sources and their combination;
- demonstrated research work (bibliography);
- research publications in the field of the labor market;
- affinity for research in the field of gender (in)equality

- Evidence of a valid habilitation title UL or evidence of meeting the quantitative and qualitative criteria for election to the title or for recognition of the title, in accordance with the Criteria. In this case, the candidate must also enclose a statement that he agrees that in the event of a decision of the selection committee, his application is also considered as an application for election to the title or for recognition of the title.
