Job vacancy: RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (code DM: H019007, m/f), for a fixed period of time from February 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027 with part-time (10%) working hours (4 hours per week).

Research work will be carried out in the field of the project: The Impact of Corporate Governance, Organizational Learning, and Knowledge Management on Organizations in Ageing Societies

Conditions for carrying out the work:

Required education (level and direction) according to the title:

• PhD (previous) in the field of economics
• PhD (3rd Bologna degrees) in the field of economics

Valid habilitation title (name of title and field of election):

• Research Associate and/or Assistant Professor
• The candidate fulfils the condition if he / she has a valid UL title or a valid UL research associate title. If the candidate does not have an election to the above titles at the time of application, but meets the quantitative and qualitative conditions for election to these titles, he may apply for the announced position and in this case submit evidence of meeting the above criteria and attach a statement of consent that in case of a decision of the selection committee, the application is also considered as an application for election to a title or for recognition of a title.

Brief description of work and tasks:

• scientific research work
• organizing, coordinating, planning and monitoring the work of the research activity (within the research group)
• linking research activities with other research institutions
• participation in the design of research programs and participation in undergraduate and postgraduate studies
• professional cooperation with clients of research assignments
• preparation of research reports and studies
• takes care of the safe and healthy work of employees and students of the unit, for the appropriate education and training of persons who come into contact with hazardous substances, the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures
• performing other tasks that fall within the broader professional field of the workplace

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• with knowledge of developing new microeconometric estimators related to the economic issues of population ageing
• with understanding of developing new macroeconometric estimators related to the economic issues of population ageing
• with knowledge of machine learning algorithms and causal inference
• with potential for working with modern approaches to data integration and database management in datasets on older adults
• with experience in empirical work using data and studies that apply modern methodological approaches from econometrics, data science, and mathematical statistics, combining standard econometric and statistical methods with recent developments in neural networks and other machine learning approaches, and linking these to the study of population and workforce ageing
• with knowledge of applying empirical, especially causal, analysis of the effects of various forms and elements of management, organizational learning, and knowledge management, as well as innovation in companies and other work organizations that include older employees on organizational performance
