EUTOPIA, Call for Participation in a Summer School on European Values
The EUTOPIA Summer School on European value is being held as part of the EUTOPIA MORE project and will bring together 50 students from the EUTOPIA Network to discuss European issues related to European integration, the functioning of the European Union, and European values and identity. Five spots are available for students at the University of Ljubljana.

In addition to lectures and academic content, the event will also feature more practical activities (a visit to the Catalan Parliament, a student-led simulation of a European Parliament session, and a series of roundtable discussions). The program will also include a debate within the Ideas Club, based on guided questions aimed at shaping contributions on students’ attitudes toward Europe and its institutions, European identities, and the European Universities Alliance initiative.
The event will take place in person from July 6 to 10, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain (travel days are not included), at Pompeu Fabra University (hereinafter UPF). The official language of the event is English. Travel and living expenses will be reimbursed.
Who can apply?
Third- and/or fourth-year undergraduate students from all fields of study who are currently enrolled at the University of Ljubljana are eligible to participate in the event. No prior knowledge of the field or experience is required. However, it is desirable that students express an interest in the topic in question in their application.
Selected students must hold the status described above at the time of application and during the event. Students must promptly notify their home institution of any changes in their status.
Admission
Students should submit their applications to eutopia.student@uni-lj.si with the subject line “EUTOPIA Summer School Call for Applications” by May 22. The application must include:
- short CV,
- motivational letter in English (200 words),
- certificate of enrollment,
- a signed consent form for the processing and publication of photographs and videos (Appendix 1 of the call for participation).
