Hereby notifies 1 (one) vacancy in the Department of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana for the position of UNIVERSITY TEACHER (M/F) on a temporary part-time basis (50% or 20 hours per week), 

Job code: D019001; Title code: N:1, 2 or 3; salary bracket: IX.

Requirements:

·         PhD (previous system) in the field of architecture or urbanism or landscape architecture or

·         PhD (new 3rd cycle (Bologna) study programme) in the field of architecture or urbanism or landscape architecture or

·         Recognition of significant works of art in the field of architecture or landscape architecture

·         Valid habilitation title of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor for the field of architecture or urbanism or landscape architecture (according to the Criteria for Election Into Titles of University Teachers, Science Workers and Associates, published at the website of the University of Ljubljana), or an academic title of another institution, under the condition that this title can be recognized in the process of recognizing at the University of Ljubljana; or the fulfilment of the conditions for obtaining the “habilitation” of university teacher (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the field of architecture or urbanism or landscape architecture). In this case, together with the application, it is necessary to submit proofs of compliance with the quantitative and qualitative criteria for the election to the academic title or for recognition of the title in accordance with the criteria. The candidate must also enclose a statement that he/she agrees that in the event of a positive decision of the selection board, his/her application is also considered as an application for his/her election to the title or for recognition of the title. (The title must be obtained before the signing of the employment contract.).

·         Rhetorical skills, innovative skills, and a sense of organization for one's own work and the work of colleagues

·         An internationally recognized expert in the fields of urban planning, architecture, or landscape architecture

Job Description:

General description of work and assignments:

·         designing and updating curricula and adapting higher education professional programs to meet requirements

·         Organizing or co-organizing all activities for delivering the course in accordance with the curriculum and professional standards, as well as coordinating and supervising the work of other course staff (assistants, technical, and other collaborators);

·         lecturing to students, leading seminars, and conducting other pedagogical activities related to the course;

·         managing, grading, and correcting exam papers and assessments;

·         providing mentorship to students in the preparation of theses and other projects;

·         participating in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field (nostrification, etc.);

·         scientific research work, studying and developing concepts, theories, and methods;

·         ensuring safe and healthy work conditions for employees and students in the unit, including proper training and instruction for individuals who handle hazardous materials, the use of personal protective equipment, and other safety measures;

·         performing other tasks that fall within the broader professional scope of the job.

Detailed description of work and assignments:

·         leading interdisciplinary seminars: joint delivery of courses EMŠA Project design 4,5, MŠU Urban design 1,2 and MŠKA Studio I, II *

 The interdisciplinary seminar is conducted within the framework of the Development Funding Pillar, in the area of: Quality of Study, sub-area: Interdisciplinarity of study content/courses/programs

 *The employment will be realized in case of approved funding RSF.
