POSITION: UNIVERSITY TEACHER – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (m/f)

CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Required education (level and area):
• doctorate (PhD - previous or PhD - third Bologna cycle)
• valid habilitation title: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in the area of Organizational and Human Resource Management and Development.
• The candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title
• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at B2 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR). If the selected candidate fails to meet this condition at the time of the job placement, he must complete it within three years from the date of employment

Bibliography and research in the field of sociology of labour, labour market, gender studies, gender equality, and language
- candidates with teaching pedagogical work experience and research work in the field of sociology of labour, labour market, gender studies, gender equality, and language will be given priority
- Experience in leadership or participation in national and international research projects in the field of sociology of labour, labour market, gender studies, gender equality, and language is desirable.
- Experience in working in international networks related to gender equality, in national or international scientific research evaluation processes, and in the editorial boards of scientific journals is desirable.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- designing and updating course syllabus according to the university and higher-education professional programme requirements
- organization (or cooperation in) the activities related to the implementation of the teaching programme according to the syllabus, with application of research findings; coordinating work and supervising other staff engaged in the teaching programme (assistants, technical and other assistants)
- giving lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities
- managing, evaluating and correcting examination papers and tests
- directing students in their artistic work and study activities, providing mentorship to students in preparing their diplomas, master and doctoral theses and similar the scientific-research and artistic work, study and development of concepts, theories and methods
- participating in other activities related to teaching, artistic or scientific research (i.e. official recognition, expertise)
- performing other tasks by order of the Dean, Vice Deans respectively, or Head of the Department, which in substance fall within the broad area of expertise workplace
- participation in the bodies and committees of the department and faculty
- care for the quality and promotion of the study program Social Informatics.
