Required education (level and major) and conditions for work:
- Ph.D. (previous) in electrical engineering, or
- Ph.D. (3rd Bologna degree) in the field of electrical engineering.
Valid habilitation title and field of election:
- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the field of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
- or meeting the minimum quantitative and qualitative conditions for election to the title according to the Statute of the University of Ljubljana and the Criteria for Election to the Titles of Higher Education Teachers, Researchers and Associates of the University of Ljubljana; In this case, the candidate must submit evidence of meeting the aforementioned conditions for election to the title along with the application for the position. The candidate must submit a declaration that he agrees that, in the event of a positive decision of the selection committee, his application will also be treated as an application for election to the title.
- active knowledge of English and Slovenian at B2 level according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR);
- rhetorical skills, innovation, sense of organization of one's own work and work with students.
Additional knowledge and competencies required:
- knowledge of power electronics systems with an emphasis on digital signal processing for the needs of regulation of converter devices;
- professional experience in the field of project management, innovation and teamwork, as well as experience in integrating modern pedagogical approaches into higher education;
- knowledge of methods and tools for planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating project work;
- experience in the field of communication in the research and development environment, including the preparation of professional and scientific content and the presentation of results;
- Knowledge of approaches for the development of collaborative, communication and organizational competencies of students.
General description:
- designing and updating curricula and adapting higher education professional education programmes to requirements,
- organising or co-organising all activities for the implementation of the course in accordance with the curriculum and the findings of the profession, as well as coordinating the work and supervising the work of other course providers (assistants, technical and other collaborators),
- lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities in the course,
- conducting, assessing and correcting exam tasks and tests,
- mentoring students in the preparation of diploma theses and other works,
- participation in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field of the profession (nostrification, etc.),
- scientific research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods in the Laboratory for Control Engineering and Power Electronics,
- takes care of the safe and healthy work of the employees and students of the unit, for the appropriate education and instruction of persons who come into contact with dangerous substances, the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures,
- performing other tasks that substantively fall within the broader professional area of the workplace.
More detailed description:
- conducting lectures in the following courses: Analogue and Digital Electronics (64640) (2nd year of the higher professional programme Applied Electrical Engineering) and Digital Processing in Mechatronics I (64230) (1st year of the postgraduate master's programme Electrical Engineering),
- participation in other activities related to pedagogical or scientific research work in the field of the profession (e.g. nostrification, expertise, etc.),
- other work on the order of the superior, which corresponds to the competence of the worker and belongs to the broader professional field of the position.
