Conditions for performing work:

Required education (level and direction) according to the title:

• Doctor of Science (previous) in the field of chemistry or engineering,
• PhD (3. Bologna degrees ) chemical or technical directions,
• Additional clarification: A candidate meets the condition if he/she has a valid UL title or a valid title of visiting teacher at UL. If the candidate is not elected to the above titles at the time of application, but meets the quantitative and qualitative conditions for election to these titles, he/she may apply for the vacant position, in which case he/she shall submit evidence of meeting the above criteria together with the application and attach a statement that he/she agrees that, in the event of a decision of the selection committee, the application will also be considered as an application for election to the title or for recognition of the equivalence of the title.
• active knowledge of English and Slovene language proficiency at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If the candidate does not meet this condition when taking up the post, he must meet it no later than three years after the recruitment.

Valid habilitation title (name of the title and field of election):

• Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in the field of Environmental Chemistry.

Functional knowledge and other requirements (professional exam, skills and language):

• sense of organization of one's own work and the work of the group (students), the use of computer tools.

Brief description of work and tasks:

• designing and updating curricula and adapting higher education professional education programmes to the requirements,
• organizing or co-organizing all activities for the implementation of the course in accordance with the curriculum and the findings of the profession, as well as coordinating the work and supervising the work of other course providers (assistants, technical and other associates),
• lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities in the course,
• management, assessment and correction of exam tasks and tests
• mentoring students in the preparation of diploma theses and other works
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field of the profession (nostrification, etc.)
• scientific research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods
• ensures the safe and healthy work of the unit's employees and students, the appropriate education and instruction of persons who come into contact with dangerous substances, the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures;
• performing other tasks that fall within the broader professional scope of the workplace.

• Proof of a valid habilitation degree in environmental chemistry or proof that he/she is in the process of obtaining a degree at the University of Ljubljana. Otherwise, the candidate shall submit evidence of meeting the quantitative and qualitative criteria for election to the title, in accordance with the Criteria. In this case, the candidate must also attach a statement that he/she agrees that in the event of a decision by the selection committee, his/her application will also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the title.
