Vacant post: University Teacher in the field of computer science and information
Employment for:
- an indefinite period with full-time work (100%) (1 vacant post) AND/OR
- an indefinite period with shorter working hours (50% or 20 hours per week) (3 vacant posts) AND/OR
- an indefinite period with shorter working hours (25% or 10 hours per week) (7 vacant posts).
Vacant post:
- the selected candidate will be employed in the workpost of »Higher Education Teacher – Assistant Professor (D019008) OR »Higher Education Teacher – Associate Professor« (D019007) OR »Higher Education Teacher –Professor« (D019006), depending on acquired education;
- stating the desired employment share in the application, the candidate will be employed full-time or with shorter working hours for an indefinite period.
Conditions applicable to all vacant posts:
- required education:
- PhD degree (previous one) in computer science, information systems and technologies or relevant technical disciplines,
- PhD degree (third Bologna cycle) in computer science, information systems and technologies or relevant technical disciplines;
- valid habilitation title of assistant professor/associate professor/professor or guest teacher:
- If the candidate does not meet none of the above requirements, but meets the minimal quantitative and qualitative criteria for the appointment to the title, the candidate has to enclose a statement that he/she agrees with the employment application to be also considered as an application for election to or recognition of the title;
- knowledge of Slovenian language on B2 level (CEFR). If the selected candidate does not comply with this condition, it must be fulfilled at the latest in three years after the assumption of duties;
- functional skills: rhetorical skills, innovation skills, organizational abilities for one’s own work and the work of co-workers.
Short job description:
- design and update of curriculum and adaptation of study programs to university and higher education rules,
- organization and co-organization of all activities relevant to the execution of study courses in accordance with curricula and developments in the professional field, coordination of work and supervision of the work of other course collaborators (assistants, technical and other staff),
- performance of course lectures, seminars and other educational activities within study programs,
- guidance in, evaluation and correction of tests and exams,
- mentoring students in their seminar papers, diploma theses and other works,
- participation in other education activities in the professional field (nostrification, etc.),
- scientific research work, study and development of concepts, theories and methods,
- care for safe and healthy work of the employees and students in the unit, their adequate education and training of people who come in contact with dangerous substances regarding personal protection equipment and other safety measures,
- performing other tasks falling within the wider professional field of the workplace.

- bibliography (if it is not yet registered into COBISS),
- a copy of the habilitation decision or a statement that the candidate agrees to have their application viewed as application for the election to a title or recognition of their title in accordance with the Criteria for the Election to UL Higher Education Teachers, Research Associates and Colleagues,
- two recommendation letters (authors of these letters shall send them directly to the HR department’s email),
- a short vision of their work at FRI,
- a description of their competences in fields where they will perform pedagogical and research work.
