Conditions of employment:   

• doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of Kinesiology (according to the former system),
• doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of Kinesiology (third Bologna degree),
• valid academic title of Assistant Professor in the field of Kinesiology or an academic title of another institution, under the condition that this title can be recognized in the process of recognizing at the University of Ljubljana; or the title of guest professor at the University of Ljubljana; or the fulfillment of the conditions for obtaining the “habilitation” of university teacher (Assistant Professor in the field of Kinesiology).
• In this case, together with the application, it is necessary to submit proofs of compliance with the quantitative and qualitative criteria for the election to the academic title or recognition of the title by the criteria. The candidate must also enclose a statement that he/she agrees that in the event of a positive decision of the selection board, his/her application is also considered as an application for his/her election to the title or for recognition of the title. The title must be obtained before the signing of the employment contract;
• rhetorical skills,
• innovativeness,
• ability to organize work and one’s own work;
• knowledge of the Slovenian language at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Additional competences wanted:

• experiences with higher education teaching on at least one higher education institution,
• experiences with mentorship on all levels of study,
• experiences with use of advanced teaching methods.

Priority will be given to candidates with teaching experience in the field of movement development, research in the field of physical activity, movement learning, basic movements and elementary games.

Brief description of the work and tasks:

• forming and updating the syllabi and adjusting university and higher education programmes according to the requirements;
• organizing and co-organizing all activities for the realization of the course in accordance with the syllabi and expert findings; coordination of work and supervising other teachers (assistants, technical and other co-workers) of the same course;
• teaching, i.e. lecturing, managing seminars, and other pedagogical activities of the course at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• managing, evaluating, and correcting exams and tests;
• providing mentorship for students;
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field of profession (nostricifation);
• scientific-research, study, and development of concepts, theories, and methods;
• taking care of safe and healthy working environment for the unit staff and students, responsibility for appropriate education and training when coming into contact with dangerous substances, for the use of personal protective equipment, and other safety measures;
• performing other tasks that are substantively part of the broader professional field of the job.
