CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Required education (level and area):

• Doctorate of Science (previous), in the Field of humanities and social sciences
• Doctorate of Science (3^rd Bologna cycle), in the field of humanities and social sciences

Functional skills and other requirements:

• innovation, sense of work organization, communication skills,
• active knowledge of English
• desirable work experience in the field of violence research
• valid habilitation title: research associate or assistant professor in the field of general sociology
• the candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title
• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at B2 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages ​​(CEFR). If the selected candidate fails to meet this condition at the time of the job placement, he must complete it within three years from the date of employment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• scientific research work,
• organizing, coordinating, planning and monitoring research activities ( within the research group),
• connecting research activities with other research institutions,
• participating in the design of research programs and participating in undergraduate and postgraduate   
•  studies,
• professional cooperation with clients of research tasks,
• preparing reports and studies on research,
• ensuring the safe and healthy work of workers and students of the unit, for appropriate education and training of persons who come into contact with hazardous substances, the use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures,
• performing other tasks that are substantively within the broader professional field of the workplace

Brief description of work and tasks:

• work on the Erasmus+ project- with knowledge against bullying 2024-1-SI01-KA220-SCH-000245085
• research and development of a systematic approach and program for the prevention of bullying in schools
• planning the implementation of one`s own research activities in accordance with the plan/registered research project
• implementation of one`s agreed part of research activities
• preparation of regular reports on the implementation of research activities
• cooperation with other researcher on the research project
• coordination of project implementation in schools
• implementation of work by order of the immediate superior
• implementation with one`s own area by order of the head of the organizational unit and other tasks that substantively fall within the broader professional field of the workplace

JOB STARTING DATE: part-time (7,5 % i.e. 3 hours/week) for definite time-for the duration of the project, presumably from April 1 ^st, 2025 till August 31 ^st.
