CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Required education (level and area):

• Doctorate of Science-PhD(previous), in the relevant field of linguistics
• Doctorate of Science-PhD (3^rd Bologna cycle), in the relevant field

Valid habilitation title (title name and field of appointment):

• Scientific councilor or full professor of English in education or second language acquisition

the candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or a valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title

• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at B2 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages ​​(CEFR). If the selected candidate fails to meet this condition at the time of the job placement, he must complete it within three years from the date of employment

• innovation, sense of work organization, communication skills,
• active knowledge of English
• desirable research and project experience in the field of education and scientific research work in the pedagogical process, especially in the field of teaching a foreign/second language to people with special needs or with specific learning difficulties in learning other/foreign languages

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• scientific research work,
• organizing, coordinating, planning and monitoring research activities ( within the research group),
• connecting research activities with other research institutions,
• participating in the design of research programs and participating in undergraduate and postgraduate  studies,
• preparing reports and studies on research,
• participation in the design of research programs and participation in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies,
• performing other tasks that are substantively within the broader professional field of the workplace

Brief description of work and tasks:

• work on the research ARIS program P5-0126 Systemic aspects of education strategies and promotion of social inclusion in education, ARIS classification 5.01.00
• planning the implementation of one`s own research activities in accordance with the plan/registered research project
• implementation of one`s agreed part of the research activities
• preparation of regular reports on the implementation of research activities
• cooperation with other researchers on the research project
• coordination of project implementation in schools
• implementation of work by order of the immediate superior
• implementation in one`s area by order of the head of the organizational unit, and other tasks that substantively fall within the broader professional field of the workplace

JOB STARTING DATE: part-time (30 % i.e. 12 hours/week) for an indefinite period, expected to start on 1 ^st October 2025.
