The selected candidate will be employed at the Department of Basic Pedagogical Studies, Faculty of Education, Ljubljana, University of Ljubljana, in the position of Higher Education Teacher-Assistant Professor (job code D019008), or Higher Education Teacher- Associate Professor (job code D019007), or Higher Education Teacher- Full Professor (job code D019006)

CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Required education (level and area):

• PhD -Doctorate of Science (previous) in the field of psychology or
• PhD (3rd Bologna level) in the field of psychology teacher education and educational sciences, majoring in art teaching
• valid habilitation title: assistant professor / associate professor / full professor in the field of psychology
• desirable work experience in the field of higher education of future teachers and other pofessional employees in the field of education and training, as well as references in the field of educational psychology.
• knowledge of the curriculum's recommended objectives, content, work methods and knowledge standards

the candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title

• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If the selected candidate does not meet this condition when filling the position, he must meet it no later than three years after employment

• rhetorical skills, innovation, a sense of organizing one's own work and the work of collegues

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• designing and training curricula, and adapting university and higher professional education programs to requirements
• organization (or co-organizing the activities related to the implementation of the teaching programme according to the syllabus, with application of research findings; coordinating work and supervising other staff engaged in the teaching programme (assistants, technical and other assistants)
• giving lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities
• managing, evaluating and correcting examination papers and testsdirecting students directing research work and study activities
• providing mentorship to students in preparing their diplomas, master and doctoral theses and similar
• the scientific-research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods in the field of music in education
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical or scientific research work in the  field of expertise (for example nostrification, expertise)
• perform other tasks by order of the Dean, Vice Deans respectively, or Head of the Department, which in substance fall within the broad area of expertise workplace

JOB STARTING DATE:

part – time (50 % i.e. 20 hours per week) employment for an indefinite period, presumably from Oct., 1^st 2025.
