CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Required education (level and area):

• PhD (previous) in the field of social pedagogy or in the field od law, majoring in criminology
• PhD (3rd Bologna level) in the field of social pedagogy or in the field od law, majoring in criminology
• valid habilitation title: assistant professor / associate professor / full professor in the field of social pedagogy
• the candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title
• active knowledge of English or other foreign language active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR). If the selected candidate, when filling the position,  does not fulfill this condition, he must fulfill it no later than three years after the employment.

Functional knowledge and other requirements:

• rhetorical skills, innovation, a sense of organizing one's own work and the work of colleagues, computer skills, active knowledge of a foreign language, at least five years of work experience in the field of teaching, experience in managing international research projects
• desirable experience in organizing and leading teams or professional groups and organizations, in the organization and implementation of professional education and training
• desirable experience and qualification in the field of psychosocial counseling

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• designing and training curricula, and adapting university and higher professional education programs to requirements
• organization (or co-organizing the activities related to the implementation of the teaching programme according to the syllabus, with application of research findings; coordinating work and supervising other staff engaged in the teaching programme (assistants, technical and other assistants)
• giving lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities
• managing, evaluating and correcting examination papers and testsdirecting students directing research work and study activities
• providing mentorship to students in preparing their diplomas and similar
• the scientific-research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical or scientific research work in the field of expertise (for example nostrification, expertise)
• perform other tasks by order of the Dean, Vice Deans respectively, or Head of the Department, which in substance fall within the broad area of expertise workplace

JOB STARTING DATE:

part – time (50 % i.e. 20 hours per week) employment for an indefinite period in the
