the selected candidate will be employed at the Preschool Education Department at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Education, in the position of Higher Education Teacher - Assistant Professor (code DM: D019008) or Higher Education Teacher - Associate Professor (code DM: D019007) or Higher Education Teacher - Full Professor (code DM: D019006)

CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Required education (level and area):

• doctorate (PhD-previous or PhD-third Bologna cycle) in the field of Linguistics.
• valid habilitation title: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor of Slovenian language.
• desirable work experience: experience in participating in international research projects and operating in an international environment, in organizing and leading teams or professional groups and organizations, and experience in organizing and implementing professional education and training
• the candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title
• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR). If the selected candidate does not meet this condition when filling the position, he must meet it no later than three years after employment

• rhetorical abilities, sense of innovation, ability to organize either their own work or work of their colleagues,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• designing and training curricula, and adapting university and higher professional education programs to requirements
• organization (or co-organizing the activities related to the implementation of the teaching programme according to the syllabus, with application of research findings; coordinating work and supervising other staff engaged in the teaching programme (assistants, technical and other assistants)
• giving lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities
• managing, evaluating and correcting examination papers and testsdirecting
• students directing research work and study activities
• providing mentorship to students in preparing their diplomas, master and doctoral theses and similar
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical work in the field of the profession
• the scientific-research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods in the field of Slovenian language.
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical or scientific research work in the  field of expertise (for example nostrification, expertise)
• perform other tasks by order of the Dean, Vice Deans respectively, or Head of the Department, which in substance fall within the broad area of expertise workplace

JOB STARTING DATE:

• part - time employment  (50%  i.e. 20 hours/week) for an indefinite period, presumably  
• from October, 1^st 2025, or after  (MVZI) i.e. the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Innovation has issued its consent to the 2025 Program.
