Jože Pučnik Airport: 20 km from the centre of Ljubljana, has good connections to other European airports. Airport shuttle buses take passengers to the city centre.

Travel in Ljubljana

URBANA

URBANA enables cashless payment for travel on LPP buses on urban, integrated and intercity lines, as well as on the electric train Urban. It can also be used to pay for parking fees in white zones, parking garages and car parks, as well as for services provided by the Ljubljana City Library. 

  • You can also pay for funicular rides to Ljubljana Castle, guided tours and other events organised by the Ljubljana Castle Public Institution.
  • You can use it to pay for rides on the BicikeLJ city bike and for rides on LPP electric vehicles.

The price of one ride on LPP buses in the city area is 1.30 euros. With the Urbana card, you can change buses free of charge within 90 minutes of paying for the ride. You can also pay for your bus ride with a payment card, i.e. without using Urbana, but in this case you cannot change buses for free.

Ljubljana Tourist Card

The Ljubljana Tourist Card allows you to travel free of charge on Ljubljana Passenger Transport (LPP) buses for the entire duration of the card. When you board the bus, simply confirm your journey by holding the card up to the reader.
