This year, a record 631 individuals participated in the traditional Faculty to Faculty Run, which yesterday once again brought together students, alumni and staff of the University of Ljubljana. They could choose between three different courses (5, 10 or 15 km) in this recreational run, passing all of the University’s faculties and academies based in Ljubljana.

The event featured a rich accompanying programme at the starting and finish lines at the Rožna Dolina student housing complex. At the Slovenian Red Cross stand the participants and their supporters were able to have their blood type identified, register as new blood donors, learn about the basics of administering first aid and get more information on volunteer programmes dealing with young people.

As many as eighty individuals were registered as new blood donors and over two hundred had their blood type identified.

The runners and their supporters could also attend a slacklining and ultimate frisbee workshop, play foosball or table tennis, or have a go at a sling puck board game (Strelastika).

Refreshments were provided by the representatives of the UL Faculty of Sports (for the 10 km runners) and the UL Faculty of Administration (for the 15 km runners).

The Faculty to Faculty Run is the central event of the Month of Health campaign at the University of Ljubljana. In April, UL students and staff can attend various events, workshops, courses and talks to boost their mental and physical health, thus enhancing their wellbeing and quality of life.
