About the programme
First cycle university study programme Computer and information science provides future engineers with a sufficient professional basis to be able to keep abreast of technological changes and successfully continue their career at home as well as on an international level. It prepares students for responsible individual professional work in all areas that demand well-educated computer professionals.
The study programme consists of core courses that are the same for all students in the first year of the study. From the second year, the programme allows choosing elective courses based on different interests, motivations and professional specializations. In the second year the students can choose among three possible elective courses, and in the third year students choose one from five different four-course modules that consist of thematic specializations:
- Informatics
- Software
- Computer Systems and Networks
- Artificial Intelligence
- Media Technologies
The program also allows choosing of softer-knowledge general elective courses. It concludes with submitting a diploma thesis, and it provides a solid base for continuing study on the master level.
