About the programme

The main objective of the Master's degree programme in Conservation of Nature and Natural Heritage is to train professionals who have the knowledge and skills required for nature conservation and the protection of natural heritage. The programme also provides students with an understanding of the technological foundations of food production and land and raw material management.

The programme promotes interdisciplinarity among various sciences and integrates the natural environment, agroecosystems and socio-economic and philosophical aspects of the sustainable use of nature and space, particularly in protected areas. It also evaluates the justification for human interventions in the environment and nature. The programme promotes the monitoring of environmental conditions and the evaluation of measures to reduce harmful anthropogenic impacts in protected areas.

Graduates are distinguished by their knowledge of domestic, European and international legislation relating to the environment, spatial planning and nature conservation, as well as related activities and measures. The programme encourages integrated planning to strike the ideal balance between human activities and preserved and protected nature.
