About the programme

Graduates of the proposed study programme will acquire the core competences that are considered to be basic competences in geography according to international standards. This enables the graduate to identify and understand the natural and social processes shaping and reshaping the Earth's surface. It provides the student with the basic knowledge of the various fields of geography, enabling him/her to understand the relationship between nature and society in space.
The graduate acquires specific skills, in particular in geographic information systems, thematic cartography and other geographical methods, in order to be able to carry out spatial and statistical analyses. The knowledge acquired will enable the graduate to carry out specific tasks in various institutions related to statistics, spatial and regional planning, tourism and environmental protection. The acquired knowledge and skills enable the graduate to successfully integrate into a Master's degree programme in geography and related spatial sciences.
