About the programme

Graduates of the first-cycle professional higher education study programme in Mechanical Engineering - Project Oriented Applied Programme acquire sufficient fundamental engineering knowledge and specific knowledge in the selected fields of mechanical engineering. This enables them, through professional practice, to further develop and deepen their knowledge and skills over time and to increase their capacity to assume positions of responsibility. The fundamental objective of the study programme is to provide graduates with high-quality education and a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding in the broad field of mechanical engineering. Upon completion of the studies, this foundation equips the graduates with appropriate competencies for employment and, for those who continue their studies, provides a suitable basis for research-oriented postgraduate studies. The programme further aims to develop the ability for critical analysis and synthesis and to foster professional engineering responsibility. Through education in the broad field of mechanical engineering, comparable to related study programmes across Europe, graduates of the programme are capable of interdisciplinary integration of knowledge from different engineering fields.
