About the programme

The main goal of the bachelor study program Physics is to educate an expert capable of solving problems occurring in investigations of natural phenomena in a broad sense, and in the narrower sense in the study of properties and structure of matter as well as physical properties of materials. Becoming acquainted with modern technologies and information systems is the key ingredient.

The orientation in astronomy offers experience in a variety of problems encountered in studies of physical phenomena in space.

The orientation in physics education is intended for students who wish to obtain a solid knowledge of fundamental physics and acquire the skill of communicating scientific results to a general audience.

The orientation in meteorology is designed to equip students with capablility of solving problems in basic physics of atmospheric phenomena and to understand the fundamentals of their mathematical description in weather and climate models as well as geophysics and interdisciplinary areas.
