Textile and clothing planning

The main goal of the postgraduate programme Planning textiles and clothing is to expand and deepen the knowledge of undergraduate studies in the field of textiles and clothing, focusing on environmentally friendly, advanced and high-quality materials and processes, promoting interdisciplinarity, creativity, social responsibility and the search for new sources of knowledge using scientific research methods. Moreover, the programme enables the understanding of modern development trends in the field of textiles in the European and global area and the implementation of green and digital transmission.

The study programme is aimed at the design of modern textiles and clothing with high added value, in particular the production of textiles and clothing for specific types of use. The study programme is adapted to the specifics of the Slovenian and European area, which requires, above all, broad and modern knowledge, interdisciplinarity, critical thinking, understanding of the characteristics of the globalised textile and clothing field, as well as innovation and project work.

Students of the master’s degree programme Planning textiles and clothing participate in applied and fundamental research projects and train for independent development work, which also enables the acquisition of competencies for further studies at the third, doctoral level.
