About the programme
The main goals of the master study programme Sanitary engineering are to provide the graduates of the programme the knowledge and skills to empower them for work in the fields of hygiene, epidemiology and health ecology and to train them to manage processes of hygiene in the work and living environment, to protect humans from harmful environmental effects and to improve the quality of the environment in order to foster human health and well-being.
The study programme has been designed in a way that the compulsory subjects enable students to upgrade basic knowledge in risk assessment and risk management and research methods, which can be applied to a particular case in one of their elected subjects and in master’s thesis.
Completion of a one-year second cycle degree study programme adds to the student’s knowledge and competencies, thus rendering them on par with European experts in the field. The programme is composed of lectures, seminars, and laboratory and field practice.
The candidates have to provide evidence of Slovenian language skills proficiency at level B2 of Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR).
