About the programme

The basic goal of the academic bachelor study programme Special and rehabilitation pedagogy is to qualify students for the quality execution of the continuum of programmes of inclusive educational and rehabilitation work with people with special needs in various organisational forms, institutional and informal environments and in all life periods.

In the process of education, students of special and rehabilitation pedagogy will acquire: the basic theoretical knowledge and understanding of the fields of fundamental and specialist pedagogical study and of the rehabilitation of people with special needs,

  • the competences required for practical operation in the area of the verification and assessment of special needs, as well as of the planning, execution and evaluating of programmes implemented for these people,
  • the competences required for communication and team work with professional school workers and with the parents or guardians of people with special needs,
  • additional knowledge in the selected areas (facilitated by the selected subjects as well as the seminar and project work of students),
  • the fundamental knowledge that will enable ongoing professional development in the process of lifelong learning.
