The academic bachelor study programme Speech and language therapy is based on research in the field of humanities, social sciences, medical and natural sciences.

Since the programme trains for different areas of work in the sectors of social activities, education, health care, social care, employment, etc., it is based on interdisciplinary research findings and achievements of various sciences, such as linguistics, electroacoustics, medicine, pedagogy, sociology, psychology, philosophy, etc...

Speech and language therapy is a highly interdisciplinary science pertaining to humanities, medical and social science. The study of speech and language therapy and surd pedagogy trains experts for work on preventing, identifying, diagnosing and addressing the problems of human communication in order to understand the processes and functions associated with the perception and production of speech and language (verbal and / or non-verbal) regardless of the form of expression - in writing or orally, kinetic (sign language translation).

The study programme trains employees to address the provision of hearing aids and to carry out the necessary remedy work in relation to listening and speaking.
