Translation

The BA translation programme is an interesting and modern combination of linguistic, cultural, literary, and translation studies through which students acquire linguistic, cultural, and contrastive textual knowledge in Slovenian, English, and a selected third language, and also acquire basic translation skills.

The course has single-subject and dual-subject tracks, which make it possible to study seven different language combinations. Depending on the track they choose, graduates are able to communicate fluently and competently in writing and orally in Slovenian and one or two foreign languages, and they are well versed in two or three European cultures, which is why they are able to work in a multilingual and multicultural environment, mediate appropriately between languages and cultures, and use language technologies.

In the case of the Slovene-English-Italian Single course the students have the possibility to choose the Double degree course with the University of Trieste.
