Ethics assessment of research involving human subjects

Research involving human participation must be conducted in accordance with certain accepted ethical standards and good practices in this domain. In order to ensure optimal protection of the interests and well-being of participants in scientific research work within the University of Ljubljana, the University of Ljubljana's Committee for Ethics in Research Involving Human Subjects is involved in the process of its preparation.

Competence of the Committee

The Committee decides on applications for the ethics review of research projects that involve work with human subjects and are conducted within the framework of the University of Ljubljana (UL), or in which doctoral students or UL employees participate as researchers, and which must be ethically reviewed at the university level due to the multidisciplinary nature of the research or because the researchers come from a member institution where no such committee exists.
