Uroš Kuzman

Uroš Kuzman is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at UL and was awarded the Prešeren Prize for his thesis. He received his doctorate in mathematics from UL FMF and now works as an assistant and lecturer at the faculty.

He is also very active in the field of popularisation of mathematics - for four seasons he presented mathematical puzzles in the TV Slovenia show Ugriznimo znanosti (Let us Bite Science) and organised a winter school for secondary school students (Mafijski vikend) at his home faculty.

In addition to maths, Uroš Kuzman is also interested in other fields. In 2012, he was named stand-up comedian of the year, and by autumn 2018, his show Professor Kuzman Jr. - a mono-comedy about students and teachers - had been performed more than 150 times. He has performed at Na žaru and Roast and sat in the hot seat himself. He is also a member of the Šaleški študentski oktet, a volunteer guide for the Slovenian Mountaineering Association and the author of the mountain songs collected on the CD Greva pod objem gora.
