Integrity
The University of Ljubljana strives to achieve excellence and the highest quality, and to meet the highest ethical standards in all areas of science and the arts. This can only be achieved if its employees are also aware of its values and act for the good of the institution. One way to achieve this is through a high level of integrity. The latter is the antidote to corrupt behaviour. It is one of the most important human values, consisting of behaviours and actions consistent with moral and ethical principles.
Integrity is credibility, rectitude, authenticity, honesty, responsibility, trustworthiness, respect of ethical and professional principles, standards and practices.
A person of integrity is a person who says what he means and does what he says in accordance with moral norms and applicable law.
An organisation with integrity is an organisation that has people with integrity in its workforce, while acting in accordance with the ethical norms enshrined in the organisations' codes of ethics and applicable law.
