Mihaela Bauman Podojsteršek

Mihaela Bauman Podojsteršek is a university graduate in Economics. She began her career in 1986 in the private sector, as a financial and accounting consultant. Ten years later, she continued her career in the public sector. As advisor to the minister at the former ministry of education, she was in charge of planning and implementing the budget and financing of public educational institutions.

For several years, she has been involved in internal audit and major investment projects at the University of Ljubljana, she was also the assistant to the Rector for the financial field. She was appointed to the position of Secretary General of the University of Ljubljana for the first time on 1 July 2014, for a term of six years. In 2015, she received a plaque from the University of Ljubljana »Pro Universitate Labacensi« as a member of the Brdo Group for her outstanding contribution to the construction of new premises for the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science of the University of Ljubljana. On 1 July 2020, she was re-appointed to the position of Secretary General for a term of six years.
